CLASS 17 - JAPANESE ROCK , CULTURE AND LANGUAGE

During our seventeenth class, we have listened to a Japanese rock song called "Jetsubou Billy" by Maximum the Hormone from the sitcom Death Note. We have also read the translation of the song and discussed on its meaning.

Durante nossa décima-sétima aula, nós ouvimos uma música de rock japonês chamada "Jetsubou Billy" de Maximum the Hormone (Máximo do Hormônio) da série Caderno da Morte. Nós também lemos a tradução da música e discutimos seu significado.

We received a visitor (Fernando) and asked him a round of questions in English on his life which he asnwered in Japanese (sometimes giving its English version).

Nós recebemos um visitante (Fernando) e perguntamos a ele em inglês sobre sua vida que ele respondeu em japonês (às vezes dando a versão em inglês também).

Fernando commented on that, giving examples and taught us some Japanese expressions.He also explained the difference between the various writing systems and alphabets.
Fernando comentou isso, dando exemplos e nos ensinou algumas expressôes em japonês.Ele também explicou a diferença entre os vários sistemas de escrita e alfabetos.

CLASS 16 - CLASS SUGGESTIONS AND RESEARCH

During our sixteenth class, we research on the web on topics each of us would like to have in our classes and curiosities we would like to see addressed.

Durante nossa décima-sexta aula, nós pesquisamos na Internet tópicos que cada um de nós gostaria de ter em nossas aulas e curiosidades que nós gostaríamos de vir abordadas.

Each student sent a theme and a questioning to my e-mail accompanied by research links in English and in Portuguese and a paragraph in English justifying why it would be important to have this topic discussed in our class.

Cada aluno enviou um tema e um questionamento a meu e-mail, acompanhado de links de pesquisa em Inglês e em Português e um parágrafo em inglês justificando porque seria importante ter esse tópico discutido em nossa aula.

CLASS 15 - COUNTRIES GAME (PART II)

During our fifteenth class we continued the countries game and each group has constructed a flowchart of strategies for each country. After that, we have continued the game with new actions by each country.

Your exercise for this class is to invent situations using SHOULD, HAVE TO, OUGHT TO AND MUST in which you study the probabilities of each country.
Seu exercício para esta aula é invertar situações usando DEVERIA, TEM QUE, SERIA EXTREMAMENTE RECOMENDÁVEL E TEM QUE(OBRIGAÇÃO) nas quais vocês estudam probabilidades de cada país.

Cada um de vocês deve elaborar uma frase falando de uma probabilidade de eventos de seu país. Por exemplo:
There is a 80% probability of losing our transportation capacity if they don´t give us fuel. We should negotiate with them.
Existe uma probabilidade de 80% de perder nossa capacidade de transporte se eles não nos derem combustível. Nós deveríamos negociar com eles.
