CLASS 27 - MYSTERIES, SHERLOCK HOLMES AND LOGIC

During our twenty-seventh class, we have started the experience of having the whole class in English. Students were allowed to use Portuguese whenever they did not know how to formulate a sentence, but I did not speak Portuguese and I think it was quite understandable and a very nice experience so far!

I have introduced the topic logical thinking and the character of Sherlock Holmes. We have started watching a film called "Young Sherlock Holmes" and discussing parts of its mystery and the personality of the main character.

Next class we will continue watching the film, but we already have an exercise based on our discussion.

The name of my problem is "Name the Dog"

FIRST PROBLEM
Name the Dog
Q Once a dog named Nelly lived on a farm. There were three other dogs on the farm. Their names were Blackie, Whitey, and Brownie. What do you think the fourth dog’s name was?

Quem começa a responder???
GOOD LUCK!

Nelly Because If there are four dogs and the names of three has been given, the fourth can only be Nelly.

Small, Medium or Large?
Al, Beth, and Cynthia got sodas to drink in the movies. "We want a small, a medium, and a large, and I don't get the large," Beth told the kid at the counter. "I thought you said you were getting large," said the boy who wanted the medium-size drink.

Who wanted what size drink?

Good Luck (y)

1. The vendor who will sell equipment to Lymington.
2. Geraldo sells fabrics but is not going to Botucatu.
3. Marcos does not drive a Fiat and is not what sells cereal.
4. The car of Jonas is a Ford.
